Carnegie Hall Comes to Richmond: The Furuya Sisters Trio in Concert
This All-Ivy Alumni concert features the acclaimed Furuya Sisters Trio, cellist Mimi, pianist Sakiko and violinist Harumi (Harvard AB '96 and Ph.D. 2006). The NYC-based sisters have played the major concert halls of the U.S. and Europe.
The Harvard Club of Virginia invites all Ivy-League alumni and guests, plus members of the Richmond Symphony to enjoy an enchanting evening of concert with the Furuya Sisters Trio at Richmond's historic Commonwealth Club. Each sister is a former child prodigy and a Julliard School graduate. Their concerts are very popular in the New York City area, where they have played Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center and many other locations. Our mixer begins at 7:00pm, followed by an introduction to the program at 7:45. The concert will last from 8:00 till approximately 9:15pm. During the mixer, there will be free hors d'ouevres. Drinks will be sold by the glass. The program includes:
